Chado

During a long hot summer in the forest, Child is forced to grow up. First her Dog becomes ill, then out of the blue her Mother returns to their dacha with a new lover. Child’s world is turned upside down. With each unsettling event, her visions become stronger to the point where she decides on a dangerous decision. Chado combines digital animation and risograph printing to transform a coming of age tale into an enchanting short film.

Chado is a co-production between Animate Projects and Blind Pig and supported by the BFI Network with National Lottery funding.

Blind Pig are an award-winning animation team and sister company of ENVY. They comprise of award-winning animators, designers, illustrators and creative directors and offer a variety of services for a wide range of productions.

About Blind Pig

Specialising in motion graphics, 2D and 3D animation, the team also has extensive experience in crafting content for advertising, experiential, social and long-form series, in particular title sequences and series GFX.

Blind Pig works with established agencies, broadcasters, networks and brands directly. They’ve crafted animation content for Netflix series (Stranger Things, Letter For The King, Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies & Scandal), Disney (Car SOS, Marvel, DD90), ITV (Love Island, The Winter King), Channel 4 (The Kidnap of Angel Lynn). They also work in partnership with several DOOH media agencies producing large-scale experiential content for Piccadilly Circus, Time Square and other global landmark screens.
