The winners of the 2025 News and Documentary Emmy Awards have been announced. The awards celebrate the best American news and documentary programmes from the past year – a big well done to all of this years winning productions.

We are honoured to have been a part of two of this years award winning projects, ‘Tsunami: The Race Against Time’ and ‘The Truth vs Alex Jones’. Congratulations to the entire team at Blast! Films and Amos Pictures.

Outstanding Historical Documentary

Tsunami: The Race Against Time recalls the harrowing events of the 2004 tsunami in the Indian Ocean. Recalling stories of survival and courage, the series features personal accounts from survivors, scientists, journalists and the fearless rescuers who risked their lives to save others.

The series was also nominated for 'Outstanding Promotional Announcement' categories.

Outstanding Crime and Justice Documentary

Winning the prize for Outstanding Crime and Justice Documentary, 'The Truth vs Alex Jones' centres around the lawsuits bought against conspiracy theorist Alex Jones in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook elementary school shootings. The feature length documentary was also shortlisted for 'Best Documentary' at this years awards.
